Position Overview
As a Founding Assistant Principal at Ednovate, you will be responsible for managing academics, student supports, and school culture. You will work closely with school leadership, teachers, students, families and community partners. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong instructional leadership experience looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This is a full-time, exempt role that reports to the principal.
What You'll Do
- Be an instructional leader: Manage teacher instructional coaching program and serve as the primary Instructional Coach for teachers not under the supervision of another Instructional Coach.
- Support student growth and success: Guide grading and instruction for all instructional staff and train teammates to utilize teaching tools and data to drive instructional practices; implement support for all students that promote high levels of academic achievement. Lead on-campus community through town halls, rewards systems, managing clubs, and working with student schedules.
- Cultivate partnerships: Oversee and manage the Dual Enrollment program and career pathways partnerships, ensuring robust relationships with partner institutions and alignment to the school's instructional goals.
- Ensure teachers build transformative relationships with students: Help teachers develop student purpose through advisory, working toward various advisory-specific goals and assessing the social, emotional and mental health needs of students. Improve family experience through regular communication, supporting report card pick-up and ensuring that at least 95% of parents/guardians attend their child's conference.
- Create a caring and accountable student culture: Support teachers in resolving behavioral issues and ensuring a positive learning environment in every classroom. Work closely with both administrators and the school social worker to ensure that all of our students experience a caring and accountable school culture.

- Bachelor degree required
- A California Administrative Credential, Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential preferred; clear path to receiving a teaching credential within a year required
- 2 years of school leadership experience with a strong record of improving student outcomes in academics, culture, and engagement required
- A competitive and transparent salary ($95,000-$125,000, depending on background and experience). NOTE: 2025-2026 salaries will be updated in March 2025.

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
