Responsibilities
- Represent clients in public entity defense work proceedings, such as hearings and trials;
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs;
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy;
- Advise clients on legal matters and provide guidance on potential outcomes;
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients;
- Attend depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings; and
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
- Admission to the California State Bar Association and be in good standing;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously;
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures;
- Experience with unlawful detainer litigation; and
-Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and other legal-related technology applications. Exposure or experience using Judicial Council Forms preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
