Local industrial OEM seeking candidates to fill an Inside Sales position at its manufacturing facility in East Berlin, Connecticut. EDRO Corporation is a multi layered fabrication and assembly operation which includes the production of world class industrial grade proprietary laundry processing and ozone disinfecting equipment. EDRO also provides sales and technical support services to customers around the world. It is a third generation family business and an industry icon providing innovative, forward thinking solutions to its global customer base. We are looking for a professional individual to process our organization’s and material procurements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include;
- Implementing company Best Commercial Practices throughout the Sales process.
- -----ement activities including scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, materials movement, supplier performance measurements and supply chain logistics.
- Procuring materials and resources to support the manufacturing process, managing supply chain, planning inventory against production work orders and spare part requirements and overseeing warehouse efficiency.
- Manage ----budgets and forecasts using them to improve profitability.
- Participate in daily operations meetings to ensure scheduling and manufacturing activities are being met as planned.
- Own, coordinate and assist in annual physical inventory process. Become an expert resource in EDRO parts and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company pu----- activities, look for opportunities to reduce raw material, component and logistics costs.
- Maintain company metrics and controls for measuring inventory levels, raw materials costs, scheduling attainment, and on-time service levels.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects to drive improvements to inventory accuracy and turnover, vendor on-time delivery, past-due backlog, and customer service levels.
Candidates must have the ability to mentor team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service (internally & externally) and assist in the execution of best practices throughout all levels of the organization. Leveraging company resources to remain efficient and profitable during the course of business will be fundamental to the position's success.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as buyer/planner or similar role with at least three years of applicable manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of raw materials and electro-mechanical fundamentals.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, production environments, electro-mechanical design and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of cost-efficient and high-quality process design, lean manufacturing principles, and product cost drivers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience working with lean inventory systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Heightened attention to detail, and an obsessive approach to organizational principles.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient use of information systems (experience using JobBOSS ERP is a plus).
