Job Summary:

As a Payroll Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing for our clients. Your responsibilities will include monitoring payroll-related questions from internal teams, monitoring the client payroll inbox, inputting payroll data, generating reports, and supporting continuous improvements in payroll operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for learning and helping others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Support: Assist in answering payroll-related inquiries and support internal teams and clients.
• Quality Control: Review pre-processed payroll to ensure accurate entries are made.
• Payroll Processing: Review and enter payroll information accurately into Excel and the Paylocity payroll system.
• Report Generation: Prepare and generate reports related to payroll as requested.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that streamline payroll processes and enhance service delivery for both EdTec and our clients.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Smartsheets, and Box.
• Strong team player with a desire to support both the team and our clients.
• Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in payroll processing.

Additional Skills:

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
• Time Management: Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple duties concurrently.
• Problem-Solving: Quick thinker with a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies or payroll-related issues.
• Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive data with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to new payroll systems or process changes.
• Basic Payroll Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll regulations and laws (state/federal) is a plus.
• Customer Service Orientation: Passion for providing top-notch service and support to clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Previous payroll experience.
• Familiarity with Paylocity software.
• Experience with state retirement reporting.
