Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the Program Director of Enterprise Projects is responsible for providing project planning and program management to deliver key strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations. This position is also responsible for guiding a cross-functional team, ensuring tactical alignment, managing timelines and budgets, fostering organizational change and adoption, and engaging with executive leadership.


Essential Performance Requirements* 

  • Oversees project management of multiple large-scale enterprise-wide projects from launch through implementation, develops comprehensive project plans, monitors progress toward goals, and ensures successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Facilitates development and implementation of processes and tools to drive continuous improvement, optimize business processes, and increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Works closely with project team members from departments across the College and external partners to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards
  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks and issues proactively; creates and applies robust governance processes, and escalates critical issues
  • Develops project communication plans, keeps stakeholders informed, and addresses queries and concerns promptly and effectively
  • Manages and coordinates change requests, evaluates impacts, and oversees smooth implementation
  • Reviews and approves deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
  • Assists in managing organizational change and implementing organizational change management methodology and strategies


Primary Duties and Responsibilities


General Supervision and Management

Leads and supervises assigned project team members, providing direction and guidance on best practices and implementation strategies


Service Excellence

  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of College projects
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, vision, values, and goals of the College


Supervision

Works under the general supervision of the Chief Transformation Officer

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five (5) years’ working experience directly related to the Essential Performance Requirements
  • Three (3) years’ experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others; leading projects or processes)
  • One (1) year’s working experience managing and driving large-scale business projects
  • One (1) year’s working experience managing third-party vendors / suppliers
  • One (1) year’s working experience leading an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation, or other implementation of similar complexity


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Current Project or Program Manager certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP)
  • Current Change Management certification, such as Prosci or Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
  • At least one (1) year’s working experience in higher education, health care, or with a consulting firm


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies and how to efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, materials, and time
  • Knowledge of organizational change management theory, methodology, and best practices
  • Knowledge of quality standards, metrics, and procedures for continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools and methodologies, and mitigation strategies
  • Skilled using project management tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet applications and office suite tools including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Skilled in oral, electronic, and written communications for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Skilled in problem solving, customer service, and follow up
  • Skilled in organizing and documenting data and information
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, and inspire and guide individuals and teams toward common goals
  • Ability to collect, organize, document, and analyze data, and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations in a timely manner
  • Ability to think critically to effectively identify, resolve, and communicate problems, and navigate through crises effectively
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of stakeholders, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner to produce accurate, well-documented work products with strict attention to detail and necessary follow through
