Overview
We are seeking a full time dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and academic success of students. This position involves working closely with students, parents, and educators to assess and address various psychological and behavioral challenges within the school environment. The School Psychologist will contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning atmosphere that promotes student well-being.

- End Date: June 1, 2026
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify student needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Utilize early intervention strategies to support at-risk students and promote positive behavioral health.
- Offer guidance on medical terminology related to psychological assessments and interventions.
- Engage in psychological testing to evaluate cognitive abilities, academic performance, and emotional functioning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Provide training and support for staff on mental health awareness, crisis intervention, and behavioral management techniques.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid South Carolina certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in social work or special education is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation methods and psychological testing procedures.
- Familiarity with IEP development processes and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.
- Ability to provide patient care with empathy and professionalism in a school setting.
- Commitment to promoting behavioral health initiatives within the educational environment.
