Job Overview
With the objective of adding ease for Special Education teachers to complete due process paperwork, and to give real-time access of SPED Data to administrators in an efficient way, we are in the process of creation of a tool - SPEDTrac that is simple and convenient to use and covers all necessary features to give dependable and consistent data.
While the Application Development team takes care of what goes in the front-end and back-end for coming up with the solution, one of the main drivers is expertise and inputs from Special Education Teachers who could give what we call as building blocks, who would define, review, and test the application.
Hours of Work
- Flexible hours.
- Flexibility to work on required assignment at hours/days as per convenience of resource.
Duties
- Design and implement innovative and effective intervention program methodology that would serve as a basis for creation of a form to help students in need of additional support.
- Utilize learning technology and learning management systems (LMS) to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- Provide academic advising and necessary support.
- Develop and incorporate key factors required for comprehensive understanding of childhood development and its implications for teaching and learning.
- Design and integrate high-quality instructional materials and assessments.
- Continuously evaluate and refine intervention strategies and instructional designs to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Skills
- Experience in educating students with special needs
- Experience of designing IEPs
- Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative teaching methods
- Background in behavioral health or behavioral therapy is advantageous
Requirement
- Bachelor degree required.
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Mod or Mod/Sev)
Good to have:
- TB Test Certificate
- Annual Behavioral Training Completed
