Behavior Support Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field
- Active state-level licensure and/or certification OR ability to obtain.
- Behavior Analyst Certification
- Experience working in schools or with children is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs): Identify the function of problem behaviors and develop appropriate interventions.
- Gather Data: Collect and analyze data on student behavior to understand patterns and inform intervention strategies.
- Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Create individualized plans to address challenging behaviors, outlining specific goals and strategies.
- Implement Interventions: Implement behavioral interventions in the classroom and provide support to teachers in applying these strategies.
- Direct Support: Work directly with students exhibiting challenging behaviors to teach coping strategies and appropriate social skills.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during behavioral crises, ensuring the safety of students and staff.
