Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description
- A Master's degree from an ASHA-accredited university is required.
- Active state-level licensure and/or certification, or the ability to obtain it, is necessary.
- Experience working in schools or with children is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and speech disorders in exceptional education students.
- Evaluation, screening, and observation of students are part of your responsibilities.
- You will write evaluation reports, progress notes, and individualized education plans.
- Participating in individual education plan meetings with parents and communicating/coordinating therapy with them, teachers, and administrators are essential tasks.
- Other related tasks may be required.
