Role Description
We are seeking a Puberty Educator (4th–8th Grade) and/or Sexual Health Educator (9th–12th Grade) for the 2025–2026 academic year and beyond. This is an hourly, part-time role that involves delivering engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate health education programs on-site at multiple locations across the Greater Boston Area, MA, following current best teaching methodologies.
This position offers the flexibility to build your own schedule and choose the number of hours, days, and weeks you want to work. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Director and other educators in developing innovative, creative, and cutting-edge lesson plans. Alternatively, the new hire may opt to deliver the curriculum we have already developed and implemented. In other words, the per diem educator can be as involved as they’d like in the content creation process or focus solely on curriculum delivery.
Qualifications:
- College degree or higher
- Strong background in health education, science, puberty education, sexual health education, public health, and/or related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in K-12 education, community education, youth development, and/or health education
- Ability to provide medically accurate, developmentally-appropriate, and culturally responsive health education
- Proven experience and comfort in providing presentations and/or facilitating groups
- Experience working with parents
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Must be able to travel to schools as required within the Greater Boston Area. Own vehicle preferred
- Must be exceptionally responsible punctual, and reliable
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Benefits
- Mid $50.00 per lesson, based on full years of experience
- This position does not offer any benefits
Responsibilities
- Facilitates puberty education and sexual health education to students in upper elementary, middle school, and/or high school.
- Delivers evidence-based and evidence-informed sexual health curricula in school settings across the Greater Boston Area
- Facilitates parent workshops on puberty and health related topics
- Collaborates closely with the Director and other team members to develop and implement lesson plans and activities in health education and reproductive health education topics for grades 4-8 and/or 9th-12th
- Keeps up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in health education
