Bus Driver (Part-time)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role involves operating a bus or van for various transportation needs, including school routes, paratransit services, and childcare transportation. A strong emphasis on punctuality, safety, and communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus or van according to scheduled routes and timetables.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle, conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information regarding routes and schedules.
• Handle any passenger inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Document any incidents or accidents in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure efficient operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in bus driving or commercial driving is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with passengers.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience working with children or in childcare settings is advantageous.
• Familiarity with paratransit services is beneficial but not required.
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is necessary for this position.
• Must possess a clean driving record and pass background checks as required.
