Salary Information
Starting salary $48,450 with a bachelor's degree, based on the 2024-25 salary schedule, higher depending upon experience, graduate hours, and FTE.

- Teaches district approved curriculum.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning through functional and attractive displays, interest centers, and exhibits of students work.
- Instructs pupils in citizenship and subject matter specified in state law and district policies.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional material to provide individualized and small group instruction, adapting the curriculum to meet each pupils needs.
- Uses developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Communicates regularly with parents by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
- Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
- Evaluates pupils academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records and preparing progress reports.
- Identifies pupil needs and makes referrals and develops strategies for individual education plans.
- Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
- Plans and coordinates the work of paraeducators and volunteers in the classroom and on field trips.
- Maintains confidentiality of student information.
