Our client, a leader in Commercial Real Estate and Building Automation Controls Systems is seeking a Building Automation Systems Engineer / Manager. The purpose of this position is to manage the entirety of Building Management Systems and provide systems programming for a variety of client facilities and technologies. While this is a hands-on programming role this individual will manage BAS for 4 main client sites and utilize a team of 20 technicians to assist with site optimization. The key to this role is solid experience in BAS programming and the ability to optimize and standard systems for cost savings. The incumbent will :
- Deliver programming logic towards a variety of BMS Systems.
- Write programs, troubleshoot issues, account for system alarms and provide resolution.
- Guide a team of HVAC Technicians as needed for hands on facilities work related to BAS.
- Drive energy efficiency through BAS technology.
- Work with BrainBox AI BMS technology.
- Oversee scope development, work request initiation, monitoring of BMS program systems in critical facilities.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to system operations and work safety.
- Maintain a total facilities building management systems program which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems.
- Partner with client, vendors, and campus staff to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and alarms are being proactively identified and actioned.
- Monitor metrics and partner with the maintenance and operations teams for system performance issues and provide an evaluation of data.
