The role works full-time M-F and starts as a contract opportunity affording long-term potential for a top performer. The Central Scheduler ensures prompt, courteous service to patients, physicians, physician office staff and participating hospital departments by providing accurate and expedient scheduling.
Major Responsibilities :
- Utilize computerized scheduling systems to accurately schedule outpatient diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Ensure proper test sequencing and prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Collect, analyze, and record demographic, insurance, and clinical data for scheduling and registration.
- Provide patients with accurate exam preparation information.
- Verify insurance coverage and ensure compliance with third-party payer requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with hospital policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with a customer-focused approach.
- Collaborate with hospital departments and physician offices to optimize scheduling efficiency.
