ESC has an exciting opportunity for a
UX Writer
working
remotely
to support our premier client's customer service UX team. The ideal candidate will have experience with UX writing and using UX Research findings and data to improve UI copy based off customer needs. This is a
5-month
contract role
that offers opportunity to support a global customer service organization. You will primarily focus on writing at a 6th to 8th grade reading level to support localization and accessibility needs.
Responsibilities :
Translate complicated concepts into jargon-free, concise, user-centric UI copyEnsure that customer service associates have the right information at the right momentDeliver UX writing that supports a global audience of both novice and experienced users, helping them easily understand how to use a product with little to no added cognitive effortDive into the needs of customers and associates based on data and UX research, and turn that into highly effective UX writingWork with UX designers, product managers, engineering, and subject matter expertsRequired Skills :
2 solid years of UX writing or instructional design experiencePortfolio with UX writing samplesBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experienceEditorial and proofreading skillsExceptional writing, listening, and verbal communication skillsExperience using UX Research findings and data to improve UI copy based off customer needs. (EX : shown something to the customer and they did not like it / not user friendly. Go in and find the words that are causing confusion / error).Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionallyDemonstrated ability to roll up sleeves, work independently and get the job done
