At Education and Training Resources, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing technical assistance and training on computer and communication systems and software applications to center staff.
">Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance and training on computer and communication systems and software applications to center staff.
- Identifies communication systems, computer hardware, and software problems and monitors those problems until they are resolved.
- Assists staff with application problems and responds to and resolves end-user technical problems.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of new computers, networks, software applications, and communication systems equipment.
- Develops job aids, checklists, training, and resource materials for tasks performed in software.
- Keeps an inventory and library of approved software.
- Insures technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
- Works with Job Corps Data Center personnel and the Corporate IS Manager on matters relating to systemic problems, modifications, or improvements.
- Ensures the accountability of all computers and related items.
- Assists in mentoring students interested in information technology careers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with diverse hardware and software.
- Ability to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied package programs for use with existing information systems.
- Demonstrated skills working with communication systems and networks.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects independently and with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to communicate instructions and troubleshooting processes to internal customers.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:
- Two years' experience in a work-related field.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
