Accounts Payable

TITLE:                                Assistant to the Treasurer - Accounts Payable

QUALIFICATIONS:           Requires the following personal and professional skills:

4. Pleasing and friendly personality.
5. Clerical skills such as typing, filing, and computer familiarity.
6. Communication skills needed.
7. Bookkeeping skills such as reasonable mathematical competence, banking experience and record keeping.
8. Ability to meet deadlines and dependable in attendance.
9. Flexibility and willingness to assume new duties and responsibility as necessary.

REPORTS TO:         Treasurer (Directly), Superintendent (Indirectly)

JOB GOAL:      

     1.  Develop and maintain an accurate and efficient system for the processing and payment

          of bills.

     2.  Update and maintain all vendor records.

     3.  Develop and maintain effective working arrangements with

          principals and staff.

     4.  Help to maintain a courteous, efficient, helpful, accurate, and harmonious central

          office organization.

PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:         Accounts Payable:

1. Have a thorough knowledge of current guidelines issued by State Auditor’s Office.
2. Receive and process mail from internal sources (pink copies of purchase orders) and from external sources (invoices, etc.)
3. Keep accurate record of all transactions and payments.
4. Attend workshops and in service meetings to upgrade and improve professional skills and provide growth.
5. Other duties as assigned by the Treasurer or designee.

ADDITIONAL WORKING

CONDITIONS:                  Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.

                                        Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement conditions.

                                        Occasional interaction among unruly children.

TERMS OF

EMPLOYMENT:                  Twelve (12) month contract

                                         Eight (8) hours per day, ½ hour non-paid lunch

                                         “The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed

                                         controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment 

                                         with the District.”

EVALUATION:                    Annually by Treasurer

Salary : $22 - $38
