The U. S. Divisions Health Promotion Practice and Innovation (HPPI) Portfolio has an opening for a Senior Project Director of Womens Behavioral Health reporting to HPPI Distinguished Advisor in EDCs Waltham MA office. This position is contingent on continued project funding over the anticipated 5year period. Most of this persons time will be dedicated to leading a national technical assistance (TA) center focused on womens mental health and substance use. This TA center aims to fill vital gaps in provider knowledge and ability to treat the mental health (MH) and substance use (SU) disorders of women across the nation. The work of this center will provide important training and technical assistance to healthcare providers including physicians physician assistants advanced practice nurses nursing social work counseling and others involved in the holistic care of women that will enhance their capacity to serve women across the nation in the core health specialties of MH and SU obstetrics / gynecology (OB / GYN) pediatrics emergency services crisis services and primary care to address the diverse needs of women with or at risk for mental and substance use disorders (SUD) including those who were greatly impacted by COVID19.
The person in this position is expected to communicate clearly and courteously; to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients consultants collaborators coworkers field sites and funders; and to work respectfully with EDC colleagues. The job requires adherence to EDC policies and procedures.
The Senior Project Director is responsible for the programmatic and technical success as well as for administrative business and financial viability of the TA center. They are primarily responsible for the production and management of resources to meet project development and implementation objectives. They also may direct other high impact programs or projects training for project activities technical and creative production and deliverable review processes. On any given project the Senior Project Director plans revisions sets priorities and evaluates progress. They define project staff roles and responsibilities as well as determine resource needs arranging appropriate internal and / or subcontracted services.
You will :
- Offer seniorlevel technical content support on the TAC as well as on other relevant EDC projects
- Present project progress and / or results in public fora and / or in publications
- Develop policies and procedures to improve project management efficiency quality consistency or effectiveness
- Generate additional work related to womens behavioral health through business development efforts
- Build positive and productive client vendor and funder relations
- Coordinate the work of team leaders and / or project staff who may be in the field or remote sites
- Supervise technical and / or administrative staff; and may have administrative supervision over 3 5 staff and provide technical direction to additional staff
- Organize portfolio activities that align with the strategic goals of EDCs work in health and early childhood

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range (fulltime equivalent) of approximately $100000 to $135000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
