Role
The Digital Marketing Specialist will work with the Marketing Manager to manage the credit union's brand through effective content management and social media.
Responsibilities and Duties
Content Management and Website Maintenance
- Create, publish and curate website content, including text, images, and videos within the CMS interface.
- Building and structuring website pages using CMS templates, adding new sections, and modifying existing layouts.
- Adding relevant keywords and descriptions to optimize website search engine ranking.
- Conduct quarterly scans to ensure ADA compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AAA and implement recommendations as needed.
Social Media Management
- Responsible for planning, executing, and managing organic posts for multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and written copy
- Create an editorial calendar and schedule utilizing social media management software
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing to improve strategies and tactics continuously
Campaign & Department Coordination
- Schedule and update internal signage and marketing messages including, but not limited to, lobby screens, email signatures, and online banking
- Reorder and maintain marketing printed inventory such as brochures and holiday signage
- Distribute campaign and marketing materials to branches
Additional responsibilities (as assigned)
- Stay current on technical digital marketing trends (e.g., WCAG compliance, image optimization)
- Assist with internal and NCUA audit as needed
- Assist with additional marketing initiatives and departmental duties as needed
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
One to three years similar or related professional experience in website/content management strongly preferred
Education/Certifications/Licenses
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communications
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to speak and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, customers and managers. Ability to provide constructive feedback to others.
Other Skills
Knowledge and understanding of website design, user experience and UA marketing trends • Ability to ensure content meets WCAG Compliance • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, design software such as Canva, Visme or Photoshop and social media software. • Exceptional knowledge of the English language is particularly important.
Minimum Starting Wage: $22.20 Hourly (Negotiable based on Experience)
