Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Montessori-inspired child care team. In this role, you will nurture children aged 1-3 years old, guiding them through important developmental milestones while fostering a love of learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment aligned with Montessori principles.
- Observe and assess children's progress, keeping detailed records and conducting regular assessments.
- Build positive relationships with children and families, maintaining daily communication with parents.
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers or teacher aides in the classroom.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and health and safety regulations.
- Organize parent-teacher conferences to share developmental milestones and progress.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care or Montessori setting.
- Strong understanding of toddler development and early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
License/Certification:
- PA State Child Care Certification or Montessori Certification (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid Certification (required or willing to obtain).
- Clearances: Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI (required).
