What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Specialist II position at Education Service Center Region 12?
Job Description:
This position will support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12 and the technology operations for contracted districts as well as ESC 12’s technology operations. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all hardware, software, and communication links.
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent post Associate degree education and/or work-related experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology related field
* At least two Technology Industry Certifications preferred
* Minimum 3 years of technology experience preferred
* Evidence of interest and growth in areas of technology
* Strong Server and Networking Skills
* Experience with Google Apps for Education, MS Active Directory, Backup Software, Firewalls, DNS, Web Filters, and Linux Preferred
Additional Requirements:
* Ability to communicate progress, status and attend meetings as necessary
* Ability to initiate and complete projects
* Ability to maintain Help Desk tickets, emails, and text in a timely manner
* Ability to work cooperatively with staff and clients
* Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a flexible manner
* Support ESC Region 12 Internal Functions
* Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
* Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision
* Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
