Cybersecurity Analyst
Responsible for fulfilling the objective of the TEA Cybersecurity Initiative to include installation and maintenance of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Multi-Factor Authorization (MFA) and restriction of local admin access at Region LEAs. Assist with Cybersecurity policies, procedures and training. Assist MIS department with network / server security and firewall troubleshooting. The successful candidate will posses an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Network Administration, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field or
- Associate degree in applicable field and five years of informational systems-related experience and
- Minimum of five-years experience in providing cybersecurity and risk metrics.

Special Knowledge and Skills (Required)
1. Strong communication (oral and written) skills, public relations skills, and interpersonal skills.
2. Knowledge of and experience with cybersecurity best practices with a focus on EDR and MFA
3. Strong annlytical and problem-solving skills to identify and remediate security threats.
4. Strong organization and time managment skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultanelously on short and extended deadlines.
5. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, clients, and the public
6. Ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical staff and provide training on cybersecurity best practices.
7. Knowledge of TEA and House and Senate Bill cybersecurity requirements
8. Strong working knowledge and experience within the cybersecurity domain, including cyber defense, threat and vulnerability managemetn, advanced security analytics, data security, identity management, security operations, and managed security services.
