What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Center Helper position at Education Service Center Region 3?
The Event Center Helper will assist the Event Specialist in general duties and day to day tasks in preparation for or cleanup of events held at the Event Center.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge / Skills :
General knowledge of cleaning, ironing or other general duties
Must understand oral and written instruction
Must be able to prioritize duties
Friendly & professional guest interactions
Learns and practices cleaning techniques
Essential Functions :
Following duties are included but not limited to :
Opening venue day of event for renter's access
Assisting vendor set up
Last minute touch up cleaning after vendors set up
Assisting renter in different requests
Assisting with dinner service and any other event service that supervisor requests
Clean up and removal of trash during & after event
Assisting supervisor & renter of packing up and loading left over food & alcohol after event
Treating of linens immediately following event.
Cleaning up any spills created during event
Must be flexible in work hours - events fluctuate in frequency & duration
Morning shift may or may not have a to-do list from supervisor to get done prior to event start
Take care of the building's general cleanliness
Cleans & sanitizes bathrooms
Replenishes toiletries and towels
Empties trash receptacles
Other duties as assigned
Keep informed of and comply with ESC policies and procedures.
Articulate and support the Center mission and instructional philosophy.
