Independent Living Supervisor

Position Functions: 

Plan, organize, and supervise assigned shifts

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide supervision, training, assessments, and leadership for assigned staff
• Screen, Interview, and select candidates for hire 
• Participate in Student Behavior Management Panels
• Complete all documentation requirements for center information systems and folders
• Order supplies and equipment as needed
• Coordinate and collaborate with Recreation and other Staff to provide ongoing student events
• Meet with Counselors, Instructors, and Student Human Resource Officers to discuss student performance and progress
• Plan, organize, and control the use of overtime and on-call staff to ensure compliance with center and ETR policies and procedures

Skills/Competencies: 

• Basic understanding of management practices; proven ability to lead and support a team
• Working knowledge of behavior management techniques
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the needs of disadvantaged youth
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to meet frequent deadlines and handle stressful, hectic situations without loss of efficiency and composure
• Proficient in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. 

Educational Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree required. One year of experience working with youth and in a supervisory capacity. Compensation is based on experience. 
• Must possess a Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
