About the Role:
As the Lead Advanced Culinary Arts Instructor, you will be responsible for supporting the culinary arts program at Treasure Island Job Corps Center. You will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of our students and prepares them for successful careers in the hospitality industry. Your main objective will be to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education and training in culinary arts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- California CTE Credential
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the culinary arts industry.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing culinary arts curricula.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching culinary arts at the post-secondary level.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Certification from a recognized culinary arts organization.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive culinary arts curriculum that meets the needs of our students and prepares them for successful careers in the hospitality industry.
- Support the management of the culinary arts program, including supervising and mentoring other instructors.
- Teach and instruct students in culinary arts techniques, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a safe and clean learning environment, including ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
