What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Specialist position at Education & Training Resources LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Assists the Maintenance Department in keeping the buildings and grounds clean and healthy according to safety standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists in the interior and exterior janitorial needs, building maintenance, and ground keeping assignments.
· Assists in moving furniture, equipment, or fixtures as required.
· Assists with the planting, pruning, fertilizing, and transplanting of flowers, shrubs, trees, and bushes etc.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
· Knowledge of methods, tools, materials and equipment used in grounds and maintenance work.
· Knowledge of methods and techniques of mowing, edging, pruning and trimming.
· Ability to properly use of cleaning products and equipment
· Capable of following verbal and written instructions
· Ability to read and understand labels and directions
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
· One year of custodial experience
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
