- Works with the building principals in the improvement of individual staff competencies.
- Frequently visits EEG’s schools to observe classroom instruction and to model, guide, and support the instructional staff and principals in working towards academic achievement results.
- Develops, implements and evaluates professional development programs.
- Evaluates academic programing and curricula for effectiveness and revision, when necessary.
- Ensures that curricula and academic programs are designed, appropriately implemented, evaluated and refined.
- Monitors the rigor of the academic offering in all of EEG’s schools.
- Ensures that appropriate differentiation in curricula and instruction are available to students with needs.
- Maintains an inventory of all curricula and a creates a long-range replacement plan.
- Coordinates and conducts a Teacher Induction Program and school orientation programs.
- Conducts formal and informal observations of staff.
- Coaches and mentors struggling instructional staff.
- Cooperates with administrative and supervisory personnel on the overall education program.
- Counsel with principals and teachers on matters of school-wide concerns in order to help them improve their effectiveness.
- Keeps the Executive level staff fully informed of matters pertaining to the administration of the schools.
- Attends and actively participates in professional development conferences and meetings at the local, state and national levels.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
