Empowered Early Learning Academy is looking for a qualified Preschool Teacher to prepare children ages 3-5 for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. Responsibilities
- · Promoting literacy and early education
- · Implement provided curriculum and create novel project plans
- · Plan, develop, and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on the individual needs of the children within your group according to the assessments.
- · Ensuring the constant supervision of all children at all times
- · Establishing routines
- · Building children’s self-esteem through positive guidance and nurturing
- · Track children’s progress and communicate growth to parents through an application called ProCare
- · Collaborate with fellow educators
- · Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards (proper and consistent sanitation, regular handwashing of staff and students, etc.)
- · Participate in physical care of preschool and toddler children; oversee and participate in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch and snacks; and toilet children as required.
Qualifications
- · Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher, specifically with toddlers
- · Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- · Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- · Excellent communication and instructional skills
- · Cool-tempered, enthusiastic, and reliable
- · Certification in child CPR, First Aid, and Communicable Diseases (or willing to become certified)
- · Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
- · Child Development Associate (CDA)
