Our office and showroom are in the Chicago Metro Area, but we serve clients throughout the state of Illinois and other states for special projects.
Your Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to support our business. This person’s attentiveness, passion for client satisfaction and project management skills will make them succeed in this role. You’ll work with account managers, designers and our operations team to ensure our furniture solutions exceed our clients’ expectations. Projects can range from one classroom, library or media center to re imaging 50 classrooms for an entire school district or even designing first-of-its kind learning environments.
Responsibilities
- Support Account Managers to ensure clients receive excellent customer service from beginning to end of a project, including managing sample requests, coordinating project details, tracking orders through CORE ERP software, managing punch lists of large projects and effectively communicating with various stakeholders
- Some projects may require project managers to prepare client quotes (proposals) through Project Matrix software and/or Excel
- Visit client’s renovation site & provide project documentation to ensure proper installation information is communicated to the delivery & installation team
- Assist in managing company inventory program, keeping records up to date and organized
- Become a product expert of multiple furniture manufacturers’ catalogs
Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Architecture, Construction or other related fields.
- Furniture & Education Industry experience a plus but not required
- 2-5 years experience working in or supporting a sales organization
- Detail oriented and willingness to learn
- Ambitious individual with the desire to succeed in the business world
- Outstanding written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills with client, co-workers and executives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
