What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Teacher/Instructor position at Educational Resources for Children, Inc.?
Summary
After School Teacher/Instructors provide academic support to students in grades K-5 or 6-8. They work with small groups of students to complete homework assignments and other academic activities during after school hours, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Teacher/Instructors provide academic support 2-4 days a week at after school centers.
Duties
- Lead homework teams for students in grades K-5 or 6-8
- Assist students in small groups with academic activities
- Lead teams of students in literacy based activities (lessons and materials are provided)
- Lead teams of students in mathematics based activities (lessons and materials are provided)
Requirements
- Teacher certification OR
- Literacy teacher OR
- Student teacher with experience teaching literacy with students in grades K-5
- Complete OEC Background Check (including fingerprints)
