Administrative Secretary-Welcome Center
One full-time Administrative Secretary to work in the Welcome Center at the Worthington Education Center. The position works on a 261 day calendar. Responsible for performing complex and confidential secretarial duties. This position interacts regularly with others and requires a high degree of interpersonal skills. The role predominately assists with Welcome Center enrollment, district open enrollment, procurement and interpretation of residency and custodial documentation, helps to act as the homeless liaison for the district, and serves as a first point of contact for new families to the district.

Qualifications:
- Any combination of training and experience equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade
- Two years of technology systems experience that includes word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
- Three years of secretarial experience
- Welcomes and provides customer service to parents, staff, and students
- Works with families to navigate the enrollment process
- Communicates regularly in-person, over the phone, and electronically with families and school personnel
- Curates and verifies documentation, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected for student enrollment
- Inputs, maintains and verifies for accuracy EMIS reporting information
- Creates and maintains confidential correspondence and report files (e.g., student cumulative records, health and medical records)
- Creates and prepares items for Board of Education approval
- Prepares detailed electronic reports and records and keyboards information into a computer (e.g., spreadsheets; student information system, cumulative folders)
- Extracts and prepares files for archiving and electronic retrieval
- Operates office technology (e.g., computers, laptops, printers, fax, copy machines)
- Enters and extracts information from a computer using various software programs (e.g., management, spreadsheets, student system)
- Communicates both orally and in writing to the public and staff on school district policies and procedures
- Processes and keeps up-to-date schedules
- Interprets residency and custodial documentation
- Transmits information and instructions from supervisor to others
- Interacts occasionally with the public and staff in conflict situations
- Develop processes to complete projects given by the supervisor
- Trains building secretaries on Welcome Center processes and procedures
