HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

SUMMARY:
Manages the High School in a manner that furthers the educational goals of the United Local School District.
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
1. Enforces and complies with all District policies and procedures.
2. Maintains communication and positive relationships with parents, students, and teachers.
3. Oversees the compliance of all rules and regulations of the Ohio Department of Education.
4. Monitors the maintenance and preservation of school facilities and grounds.
5. Supervises the development of a master class schedule that has an equitable distribution of
workloads among teachers.
6. Monitors safety procedures to ensure compliance with all safety codes and regulations.
7. Oversees and completes staff development evaluations.
8. Advises the Superintendent on school issues, staffing assignments, and budget recommendations.
9. Maintains a school environment that is conducive to learning.
10. Reports instances of suspected child abuse and/or neglect to law enforcement.
11. Consistently reviews school programs to include new and emerging trends and studies.
12. Complies with all provisions under the Ohio Revised Code.
13. Performs other functions as assigned.
14. Provides positive and enthusiastic leadership.
15. Intervenes to resolve conflicts and manage discipline.
16. Interprets information quickly and accurately, and delivers effective responses.
17. Competently organizes and prioritizes assigned duties and tasks.
18. Effectively communicates school policies and goals with staff and the community.
19. Demonstrates professionalism in all forms of communication and interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess a valid Ohio administrator’s license.
2. A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
3. Complies with the Board’s drug and alcohol policies.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Effective Date: 2025-26 School Year
2. Length of Employment: One year limited contract
3. Salary: Based on current negotiated salary schedule
4. Benefits: Based on current negotiated agreement
