Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Audiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audiology, with the ability to assess and treat hearing disorders in patients of all ages, including pediatrics. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for improving patients' quality of life through effective hearing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations to diagnose hearing loss and related disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and other assistive listening devices, providing thorough training on their use.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including otolaryngologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using computerized systems and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about hearing health, prevention strategies, and available treatment options.
- Demonstrate leadership within the team by mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Engage in sales activities related to hearing aids and assistive devices while maintaining ethical standards.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the auditory system.
- Familiarity with otolaryngology principles is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Excel and other computer software for record keeping and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities that contribute to team success in a clinical setting.
