Responsible for leadership, oversight, and operational management of all athletic programming, grades 9-12.

- Leadership - with extensive experiences organizing and implementing athletic, extracurricular opportunities for students.
- Experience in creating, improving, and implementing schedules, innovative communication strategies, and collaborative approaches to working with colleagues and coaches.
- Strength in working with a wide range of community stakeholders.
- Strong background in positive student experiences, community engagement and parent partnerships.
- Desire to see success in all parts of athletic processes: Planning, scheduling, supporting, supervising, and attending a wide range of events.
- Ability to be part of creating a shared vision for continuous improvement for the Independence Local Schools athletic department.
- Previous athletic director, administrative/leadership, and/or high-level varsity coaching experience preferred.
Employment Details:
- Administrative Contract: Year-round (260 Days with vacation)
- Competitive Compensation: Multi-year contract with a range of $100,000-115,000 with STRS pickup and benefits
- Start date of 8/1/24 with anticipated summer transition days.
