Position Summary:
Fairport Harbor Exempted Village Schools is seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to provide resource room support when needed for students in both middle and high school. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), offering targeted instruction and intervention services that help students succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and academic support to students with IEPs in a resource room setting.
Serve students in both middle and high school, supporting various content areas as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs according to state and federal guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation.
Communicate regularly with families, staff, and service providers.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license as an Intervention Specialist (appropriate grade band).
Experience in a cross-grade special education role is preferred.
Strong understanding of IEP compliance, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
