Job Description:
Fairport Harbor Exempted Village School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Nurse to support the health and wellness of our student population for the 2025–2026 school year. This position is 7 hours per day, 184 days per year, in alignment with the academic calendar.
The School Nurse plays a critical role in promoting a safe and healthy environment by providing direct care to students, managing chronic health conditions, administering medications, and serving as a liaison between school personnel, families, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing services and emergency care to students and staff.
Develop and implement health care plans for students with special health needs.
Monitor immunization records and ensure compliance with state requirements.
Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and maintain accurate health records.
Collaborate with school administrators and staff to support student health and safety.
Promote health education and wellness within the school community.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
Requirements:
Valid School Nurse Endorsement through the Ohio Department of Education.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
