General Responsibilities:Lyle School District is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic 3rd Grade Teacher to join our vibrant elementary school team. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards, fostering a positive classroom culture, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents and colleagues. The Lyle School District is a K-12 district located in the Columbia River Gorge serving about 185 students in Klickitat County, WA.Terms of Employment:The salary range for this position for the 2024-2025 school year is $54,422.00 $102,576.00 annually based on education and experience. - The role requires the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students across a wide range of academic levels.
- Develop lesson plans and teaching outlines using Washington State Standards.
- Teach using a variety of methodologies, including inquiry, demonstrations, discussions and technology/laboratory experiences.
- Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity
- Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
- Prepare, administer, score, record and report student growth data.
- Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress.
- Monitor children's interactions and nurture cooperation and team building.
- Collaborate with all school staff members.
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations.
- Other duties that may be required of the position.

- Bachelor's Degree.
- Teaching Degree
- Elementary Education or related endorsement(s).
- Prior teaching experience.
