General Responsibilities:Centerville School District is accepting applications for a full time, 7th/8th grade teacher. We are a small district located in South Central Washington. This rural K-8 school is a unique opportunity for educators to each all subjects and an ideal location for a motivated, strong academic based educator to practice their craft of teaching. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards, fostering a positive classroom culture, assessing student progress and collaborating with parents and colleagues. Assignment:Teacher pay scale currently (2024-2025 school year) ranges from $52,567 - $99,077 annually based on education and experience. Full benefits include health, dental, vision insurance. - The role requires the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students across wide range of academic levels.
- Develop lesson plans and teaching outlines using Washington State Standards.
- Teach using a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity.
- Plan develop and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity.
- Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
- Prepare, administer, score, record and report student growth data.
- Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress.
- Monitor children's interactions and nurture cooperation and team building.
- Collaborate with all school staff members.
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations.

- Bachelor's Degree
- Teaching Degree
- Elementary Education or related endorsement(s).
- Prior teaching experience.
- Classroom environment.
