Join us in our journey of measuring progress to power human progress worldwide.The Lead Public Relations Associate is responsible for creating and implementing communications campaigns aligned with the business and mission objectives of ETS. Strong understanding of public relations strategy and tactics is critical, as is experience in content development and management, and digital and social media strategy. The ability to manage multiple priorities is essential to success in this role.Develop to improve public perception of ETSDevelop and oversee delivery of key messages to target audiences through traditional and non-traditional earned mediaPosition ETS positively with key external groups including higher education faculty and administration, policymakers, key education associations, press, and other opinion leadersHelp inform ETS brand strategy bringing both strategic and tactical approaches to digital and social content, media relations, executive thought leadership and events.Actively engage, participate in and contribute to brand team planning and strategy effortsDevelop working relationships with key media contactsDraft and disseminate content including press releases, media alerts, articles and other media for ETS newsroom, social media posts, social media content campaigns, video, infographic and other content types.Develop background materials and remarks for leadership in connection with media interviews, press briefings, conferences, business meetings, trips and other public eventsOversee contracted PR agencies and vendors to ensure tactics are being executed in a manner consistent with established strategies, timelines and budgetsAdhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job functionRequired Skills : Strong ability to translate industry-specific jargon into compelling, engaging stories that resonate with editors and media outlets of tier 1 publications.A self-motivated individual who confidently showcases their expertise and drives results.Experience in the execution of thought leadership strategies to position key internal stakeholders as industry experts and influencers.Ability to create and implement a communications plan with international elementsExcellent writing skillsStrong interpersonal and consensus-building skills, a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work non-traditional hours when necessaryA commitment to working collaboratively as part of a cross-divisional teamKnowledge of web-based technology and demonstrated use of social and media tools for content creation and brand journalism, media tracking, research, analysis, and targeted communicationsExperience with crisis managementExperience in working with education issues; K-12 education a plus#LI-HYBRID#LI-NK1Education : Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related fieldExperience : 7 years of public relations / communications experience are required or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessaryExperience developing content and social media strategyExperience in media relations7 years of experience in public relations and / or brand marketing, domestic and international, including a strong working knowledge of both traditional and social media engagementETS believes in a Total Rewards philosophy for our employees, and they include : Health, Vision, Dental insurance plans to choose fromGenerous continuous learning support, from individual learning grants to up to 6 classes a year for tuition reimbursement as well as on-line learning access!Generous PTO and vacation time to balance your work and lifeAdditional 8 hours of PTO for volunteer workRetirement plan (401(a)) and traditional Roth (403b) with company contributionCommuter Benefits, Pet Insurance, 1 year subscription to Calm AppETS is mission driven and action orientedDiversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is at the forefront of the ETS employee's daily work.
