Manufacturing Specialist

Job Description

This position is responsible for various aspects of our manufacturing process, including sawing operations, column building, material handling, fork truck operation, and loading trucks. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on productivity and quality control.

• Assemble trusses and gables using a hammer and tape measure
• Operate a radial arm saw
• Manually stack wood as it comes off the machine
• Assist with finger joiner-tape measure and stacking
• Properly package and handle incoming/outgoing orders

You will also be responsible for tracking past due backorders versus incoming material and unloading material from trucks using a forklift as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills:

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the day
• Frequent standing/walking/stooping/turning while carrying materials
• Ability to operate a forklift (plus)
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills

You must also be a team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
