What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audit Representative II position at Educators Credit Union?
This position is located in Racine, Wisconsin.
Role : To conduct audits, analyze and review compliance of the credit union's current operations and enterprise risk to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations. Provide documentation of the credit union's internal control systems, report findings, and make recommendations.
Responsibilities :
Ensure internal controls are operating effectively, correctly evaluated, and reported as part of the management processes.
Perform audits, including planning, fieldwork and reporting according to the approved audit plan. Examine branches and departments to determine the extent of compliance with credit union policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
To assist with Third Party Audits by providing direction, support and other tasks as needed.
Develop findings, conclusions and recommendations, prepare written reports and present findings as needed. Conduct follow up audits or reviews as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and / or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Solid knowledge in credit union or financial operations and audit procedures. Ability to analyze data, work independently and manage sensitive and confidential information. Experience using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
Physical requirements include : standing and sitting; using hands, and fingers, reaching including above the shoulder; talking; hearing; visual acuity; occasional stooping, bending, or crouching; and occasional lifting a maximum of 10 pounds.
Equipment used includes, but is not limited to : computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, copiers, printers, fax machine, cash counters, TCRs, CDMs, and other standard office equipment and supplies.
Required Experience :
Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Accounting degree and experience is preferred.
1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
