Job Purpose
A Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer is responsible for the manual testing of the Edupoint web-based applications to ensure product releases meet or exceed quality standards.
Job Summary
The duties include ensuring changes conform to accepted standards for test case development, reviewing functional requirements / technical requirements, and conducting testing for issues, enhancements, and major releases.

Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies, occasionally lifting files, objects or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, copier and other office equipment as necessary. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity necessary to work extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast paced and project intensive. Travel in the performance of duties may be required.

Job Duties
- Write and execute functional and regression tests and required release documentation
- Track defects and coordinate defect/issue resolution
- Perform risk-based estimates on assigned work
- Ensure changes to the application meet all applicable standards
- Ensure all code changes are tested across multiple client environments
- Ensure QA defined policies and procedures are followed on an ongoing basis
- Retain and demonstrate application knowledge in assigned product area
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices
- Skills:
- Test case design experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Abilities:
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced performance-oriented environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years software quality testing experience or equivalent programming experience in Microsoft technologies on web applications
- Minimum 1 year in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Minimum 1 year experience with a Test Case Management tool
