Substitute Teacher Job Description: Substitute Teachers perform a variety of duties in assisting a licensed teacher in the implementation and support of instructional programs for students in a group or one-on-one setting. Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and leads planned activities designated by a licensed teacher. Helps maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.
Substitute Teacher Qualifications:
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Emergency Sub License - Certain districts only).
- Associates degree or 60 credits from an accredited institution
