Position Summary of Substitute SPED Aide:
· Perform a variety of duties in assisting a licensed Special Education teacher in the implementation and support of instructional programs for students in group or one-on-one settings.
· Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and leads planned activities designated by a licensed teacher or SPED Aide.
· Helps maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.
Applicants MUST meet the following qualifications:
- Pass a background check
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma/GED
- Transcript with a minimum of 48 credits and/or Associates Degree
- Minimum score of 460 on the ETS ParaPro Assessment (only if you do not meet credit requirements)
- Minimum score of 65% on "Instructional Support" an 70% on "Content Application" for the ParaEducator Master Teacher Assessment (only if you do not meet credit requirments)
- Submit a TB test/assessment form
- Hold a Valid WI SPED Aide License through the WI DPI
- Pass the ParaPro test
