Substitute Teacher Job Description: SPED/Behavioral Substitute Teachers perform a variety of duties implementing instructional programs for students in a group or one-on-one setting. Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and leads planned activities designated by a licensed teacher. Helps maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.
Substitute Teacher Qualifications: Substitute Teachers must apply for or possess a valid Oregon Teaching or Substitute Teaching License. Licensing is completed via the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and must be obtained before one is qualified to work as a Substitute Teacher.
