Delivery Driver
Responsible for the delivery of the merchandise to customers within the expected time parameters. Must be able to unload truck as well lifting 75-100lbs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Delivers merchandise according to a pre-determined route.
- Must have clean driving record
- Unloads correct merchandise and checks order, noting any corrections.
- Completes all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of the day.
- Communicates with the Manager any system or documentation problems identified.
- Picks-up returned merchandise per return authorization
- Performs safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to Edward Don & Company and OSHA standards.
- Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing to customers and all levels of staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required with a minimum of 1 year Commercial Driving experience of a box truck or similar. Clean driving record is required with ability to bend, stoop, climb, twist, stand, and lift between 60-100 lbs while loading and unloading delivery truck at each stop (15-30 stops per day). Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time and maintain a good driving record while employed. Must comply with all DOT regulations as required. Must have a CDL B license with restaurant delivery experience or a CDL class A license.
