Job Description: The Marketing Analyst is responsible for project management and analytics in support of RFP’s, line reviews, product conversions, SKU rationalizations, supplier performance, profitability improvement, and pricing strategies.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in conducting regular category reviews with preferred suppliers and senior management.
- Analyze market trends to assist in developing respective merchandising plans
- Proactively interact with Sales and Sales Management to identify opportunities to increase sales and overall profitability.
- Coordinate cross training of staff to maximize productivity and provide back up coverage of all functions.
- Develop and present presentations to groups including suppliers, Sales and customers.
- Support the Merchandising Product Manager to ensure suppliers are implementing performance improvement measures and meeting OTIF requirements.
- Communicate with Sales, Merchandising, and Purchasing as needed.
- Conduct contract pricing analysis in order to secure new business and/or improve profitability in existing customers.
- Analyze item level and customer level mark ups in order to identify opportunities for pricing optimization.
- Provide analytical support with RFP’s and line reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required: Bachelor's Degree and 1 or more years of similar Merchandising/Marketing experience in a distribution environment, including at least 1 year of experience with foodservice product lines. Ability to analyze data and manage projects effectively and efficiently. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 products, specifically Power BI, Teams and SharePoint. Strong analytical, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and work independently. Excellent communication, and time management skills.
Preferred: Previous SAP experience and/or Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
