What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Plainfield Linden Oaks position at Edward-Elmhurst Health?
Edward-Elmhurst Health includes three hospitals — Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health — and an extensive ambulatory care network that provides comprehensive healthcare to residents of the west and southwest suburbs of Chicago. Linden Oaks is a community based non-for-profit facility that treats conditions such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders and self-injury for adolescents and adults. We are a leading center for the treatment of substance abuse and offer services for each stage of the recovery process, including inpatient and outpatient treatment, residential (for adults) and detoxification. Our comprehensive eating disorders program is nationally known and locally preferred.
The RN provides quality general and psychiatric nursing care to
Education, Skills and/or Experience Required:
- Maintain information as highly confidential
- Nursing degree
Education, Skills and/or Experience Preferred:
- One-year psychiatric experience
- Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric population
- Familiarity with management of a therapeutic level system and understanding of system of rewards and consequences
License/Certification Required:
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
