Team Overview:
At Edward Jones we are developing a next-generation data architecture to support our growing business. As part of the Operational Data and Integration Portfolio, you will be tasked with provisioning new datasets for ODS use cases, changes to existing loads and overall data flow, scheduled batch, micro batch and real-time.
What You'll Do:
As an ETL Engineer you will create and maintain optimal cloud-based data pipeline architectures capable of ingesting structured and unstructured data using both batch & streaming methods in a secure, scalable, and efficient manner.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and technical requirements
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources, both internal and external
Develop data flows that can leverage both on premise and cloud architectures
Work with stakeholders including the Data Stewards and Digital Architecture teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

What You'll Need
4+ years of experience in using or supporting the following platforms or technologies:
Business Intelligence tools (preferred platforms include Tableau, Power BI)
Windows/Linux platform experience
Oracle/DB2 database
Experience with ETL processes, configuration, scheduling and creating pipelines
Familiar with SQL and PL/SQL
Ability to multitask with many different projects and have the knowledge to prioritize the workload
Be on call in a rotation in the team 24×7
Familiarity with Cloud technologies
Ability to work through tier 1 level issues and escalate when needed
Knowledge of database objects; Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Pentaho
Experience with Snowflake, Matillion, Qlik and or Databricks preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another applicable field experience is preferred
*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with a preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Salary : $96,000 - $164,000
