The Edward Jones Agency is building out a world-class creative team to support our high net worth business. We’re looking for an experienced, ACD-level copywriter with exceptional strategic rigor and strength at every phase of the creative lifecycle — developing concepts, writing emotionally resonant and action-driving copy, and bringing our brand voice to life in every execution.

You’re a creative problem solver, collaborator and student of your craft, who loves to inspire and be inspired. We’re a growing in-house team, looking for people who are ready to make an impact on our firm and the audiences we serve through strategic and creative excellence.
  • Leads end-to-end creative communication strategies for the firm’s largest, most complex strategic efforts.
  • Coaches others to ensure message, creative strategy and brand voice alignment
  • Partners with senior firm leaders and matrixed teams to develop and execute creative communication strategies, campaign concepts, tactical ideation, content execution, personalized client materials and other deliverables that bring our differentiated brand to life through stories and experiences.
  • Leads verbal direction of content and campaigns, in collaboration with creative production and/or strategic partners, to ensure approved creative concept remains intact throughout project’s lifecycle.
  • Leads presenting creative concepts and verbal approach to business areas, key stakeholders, compliance and legal to gain their support and takes and applies appropriate feedback to concepts.
  • Keeps the project team updated and ensures critical information is shared via project management technologies and other channels; communicates across multiple projects.
  • Creates working relationships with key stakeholders, matrix project teams and strategic partners both inside and outside the company.
  • 10 or more years of communications or marketing experience
  • 2-7 years of experience leading or coaching others
  • MUST HAVE well-rounded portfolio displaying strong concepts and executions, with original copywriting on large complex campaigns
  • High degree of personal initiative, seasoned judgment, outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow the firm's impact, make effective decisions and deliver the right outcomes.
  • Experience translating stakeholder needs into communication strategies and experiences
  • Ability to make highly complex issues easily understood to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex, dynamic environments with changing priorities and deadlines, ability to work in a team-based or matrix environment.
  • Effective at building strong relationships to influence and gain consensus at all levels, including senior level executives.


Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Agency experience is a plus
